Remove my gStuff

How can i:

Remove my public Google Profile
Remove my Google Picasa account
Remove my iGoogle page
Remove my Google docs account
...

How do i remove anything from google without having to remove my google mail, analytics, webmaster tools etc. as well?

Seems like it can not be done ... every time you "try" something new from Google and come to the conclusion that you will not use that service, you will leave an empty space on one of their services with your name on it and it cannot be removed without completely deleting your entire google account, including the services you actually do want to use.

I'm having a hard time understanding why this is. It looks like their account management is a complete mess of decentralized databases from each product they acquired. It's nice that they have this "Dashboard" where you can see what data is  stored with your account but it's a shame there is no "Delete" button next to each entry.

iPad and Flash

When making a case for flash on the iPhone / iPad please stop using the "Video" excuse ... we all know, deep inside, that between now and 6 months most content providers will switch to html5 video. Firefox cannot sustain their stubborn block of h.264 for long and with drm being less of an issue it is a no brainer for most to just switch from using a now limited supported format like flash to a more widely supported and open spec. Flash sites however remain unsupported, that is a shame but on the other hand .... what 100% flash site have you been visiting lately you could not live without? ....... i can name none! i can live without all the flash banners doh! On my mac i'm using click4flash and i hardly ever ever ever have to enable some flash element on a page to enjoy the web. Actually, browsing is a lot faster without ... Air, yes, Air ... it would be awesome to create dedicated apps in Flash that work on the iPhone / iPad ... oh wait, that will be possible ... without all the drawbacks of a dynamically executed language on a "embedded" device ..... The solution Adobe found is, in my view, the most logical one. Compile that stuff into a native format for the device... i would not like to have it any other way! So i think the choices made are the right ones. When i want to view that latest "band" or "Photography" website that is 100% flash .... i'll make the walk to my Macbook... otherwise i will enjoy my fast browsing experience with less crash possibilities on my iPhone / iPad ..... my two cents

One more thing: we do not have a tablet

What if steve jobs ends his (unconfirmed) announcement on the 26th with those words?

Apple shares take a dive
A lot of disappointed people
They lose credibility
Users will but other brand tablets starting the 27th
...

All this because at some point someone had the idea that Apple should produce a tablet. The company itself has never expressed any plans for such a device nor have they confirmed any presentation of such device on the 26th... in short, Apple never promised us a tablet.

It's quite strange when you think of it! All this attention for the Apple tablet and it's all community generated! Whether there will be a tablet or not, the Apple tablet has been on the forefront of the news for a long time now. Even during CES, the big consumer electronics show where Apple was absent!

Wouldn't it be nice to start treating politics the same way? I mean, when some political figure promises stuff and the do not deliver (that is most of them) ..... 8 out of 10 times we simply re-elect the exact same people! Looks like we are harder on the people that rule our everyday gadget than we are on those that rule our everyday life........ and that's sad!
